Surfing the Web, sending emails and doing other tasks online is easy with the Netscape browser. Netscape came about at the same time as Internet Explorer and other browsers, but as those browsers responded to user feedback with updates, Netscape clung to its old system of operating. The company recently went back to the drawing board, looked at the features found on other browsers and created a new browser that people will love. Not only can you surf the Web and search for websites, but you can do a number of tasks that previous versions didn't allow.

Netscape now lets you manage the subscriptions that you have. Some of the types of news available include health and fitness, money, science, television, politics and sports, but you can also subscribe to the top news stories of the day or stories that recently rose in popularity. Netscape will keep all those subscriptions and news stories listed right on your home page, which you can find every time you open the browser. If you want to add, remove or make any other changes, you can open the subscriptions window and make those changes in seconds.

This browser now comes with a URL-correction feature, which can help you save time. Have you every tried to visit a website and made a minor misspelling? Other browsers will direct you to a page of search engine results and make you scan through those results to find the page you need. Netscape will immediately release a pop-up window with a suggestion for the right page and let you click one button to visit that site. It also comes with all the other great features that you need from a browser, including edit tools and the ability to save or print a page.

The new design of Netscape might remind you of Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox. It shares a layout similar to those pages, but it won't let you do a quick search from the address bar like Chrome does. It also lets you load multiple pages as once, but the close button on those pages is so small that you might find yourself accidentally opening and closing windows. If you have a number of bookmarks, you'll love that Netscape lets you import and export those pages to save a copy on an external hard drive, move the bookmarks to another devices or move the bookmarks to your news feed.

The new browser from Netscape doesn't bring anything new to the world of online surfing. If you use Chrome or Firefox, you probably won't appreciate the new design and features, but those looking for a change from Explorer might like this one.
